Cafe 58 Reviews
This school year in Term 1, my classmates and I were assigned to write an essay comparing different sides or view points on a subject. I chose to write mine on a Cafe in Myerstown, where I compare different reviews on this Cafe and share my thoughts at the end. I will be sharing it with you, and I hope you enjoy it!
In this essay I will be comparing the good reviews to the bad reviews of Cafe 58 in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. There is a good mix of people that I have looked at and most of these reviews seem as if you would either hate this cafe or you would love this cafe. I have chosen three people for each side. Three for the bad side and three for the good side, I will be starting with the good reviews. I hope you enjoy and can make your own opinions about this coffee shop during this essay.
This coffee shop is run by a man who people thought was intelligent and very passionate about making coffee. Something all three of these reviews had in common was that he was a humorous man and made great coffee. Everyone thought his cafe was a calm and aesthetically pleasing cafe to go to, and said that the way the owner makes his coffee felt like an experience you would have in Italy. Funny enough, he is Italian. The food he makes was said to be amazing, “especially the crepes”, and many of the good reviews appreciated that he was confident in his work.
This second group of people seemed to feel a bit differently about the owner than the first group of people did. All three of these people mentioned in their reviews that they were not impressed with the owner’s people skills. They thought he was too confident and too judgemental. There were many times that Kris has insulted customers that order something he doesn't like or doesn't agree with. He has compared people’s orders to what he would imagine Taylor Swift drinking, and not as a compliment. There have been many complaints of him using foul language in front of children and that he is disrespectful to customers that walk into his coffee shop.
Now I will share my opinion. Based on these reviews it sounds like a bad place to go to for coffee, and it doesn't sound like the kind of company I would want when I am trying to relax and drink a cup of coffee. I have actually been to this coffee shop and have complaints, as well as compliments for this cafe. I love the food and drinks that he makes and the majority of the time I enjoy his company. I enjoy his humor a good amount of the time and the conversations we have are always interesting. I will agree that his coffee shop interior is very pleasing and calm, but something that I didn’t like was his language and the way he treated his customers. I think that if he would work on his people skills, I would have a 10 out of 10 experience at Cafe 58.
