College Visits - Guest Blog by Alannah

This term our class went on a trip to visit Excel College in Black Mountain, NC and Liberty University.

The first stop on our trip was Excel College. It was their All-teams night so everybody had dinner together and then there was worship and a message.  After that was over our house captains took us to our houses and some of us played games for a bit. The next day we had a bible class in the morning and then one of their Core Virtues classes which was about sedulity. We had lunch there and then left and headed into Asheville,NC. It started raining so we went to a Mediterranean restaurant. We got to sit on cushions on the floor around the table. Some people even tried the Turkish coffee and were very surprised by how strong it was. It was a fun experience.

When we were leaving the next day Mr. Maguire backed into a telephone pole in the rental van. After that we went to visit Liberty University. It was a pretty long tour of the whole campus. I thought that their library was pretty cool. They have a robot that retrieves some of the items in the library and you can even check out things like kayaks or kitchen mixers. After the tour we got free passes to the dining hall. It was really nice and had a lot of different stations with different types of foods. That night we got to our Airbnb around 9pm and it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. Some people from our group thought the house was  haunted because it was called a manor.

I had a fun time visiting these places and getting to hang out with everyone.
