The Thirsty Sword
Last term was fantastic and very full. We did a lot of writing, reading, and other things. On Monday my class and I do something in the afternoon called nature study. Nature study is when we leave school with the nature study teacher to go and explore the wilderness. On Tuesday there is music practice. We do archery and bowling on Wednesdays. Thursday is not really special. Friday is awesome. We have Bible study and finance class on the same day! These are just some of my favorite things that happen during the school week.
There is one specific class that is a lot of fun. It is called Book Cafe. Book Cafe is a book reading class. You have about 3-4 months to read an assigned book. After finishing the assigned book, you will need to make a visual aid. A visual aid is an object from the story that was read. After the time period is up, my class and I will go to either a cafe or a restaurant and discuss and talk about the books we have read. Each one of us will give a simple presentation and talk about the book for about as long as we want to.
Last year I read a book called The Thirsty Sword for my Book Cafe book. It was about a Norse invasion of Scotland.
