My Blog
My blog.
Hello, this is my blog post about term 1 at Paloma. This blog post will be about various things that happened this term.
Paloma had a 5k this year where all of the kids ran a 5k except the youngest ones and the oldest ones. The youngest ones didn’t run because they are little, and the oldest ones didn’t run because they were busy making balloon animals and things to give to the kids when they were done running. We went a little bit crazy, making everything from astronauts to trucks to dogs to french fries. We made anything and everything that we could think of, and it resulted in a lot of happy children and a lot of interesting balloon sculptures. We made things for like 4 hours, and by the end of the rush the children made for the balloons when we opened it up, there was nothing. If you had a ton of balloons at your house, I apologize. I think the kids appreciated it very much and I know we had a lot of fun.
We also went to the Baltimore aquarium and were allowed to just wander around. My group went to all of the parts of the aquarium many times, and we got to do everything multiple times. One of my favorite parts was when they fed the archerfish crickets. Archerfish are fish that can spit water at high pressures to knock insects into the water. To feed the archerfish you take a cricket and put it on a stick above the water and they will shoot the cricket down.
This term was quite fun, and I am hoping that the next one will be just as fun.
